This limited-edition sake was created to commemorate the 450th anniversary of the birth of the famous samurai leader Date Masamune and is dedicated to the 18th and current head of the Date family. The bamboo and sparrow on the label are symbols of the Date family. It is rather dry, with a silky texture, banana and melon, and green branches on the nose. Ripe fruit, subtly buttery, light to delicate, with good viscosity and a lingering, harmonious finish.
