The Chiran Distillery is located in the southern part of Kagoshima Prefecture, in a city steeped in historic atmosphere with samurai residences. Chiran's tea and sweet potatoes are grown in a warm climate and well-drained soils thanks to volcanic activity. Aromas of steamed sweet potato and cherry, with a hint of floral notes in the background, reminiscent of red shiso (perilla). On the palate, creamy, slightly sweet, herbaceous, with a complex flavour, and an elegant, rounded finish.
