About product
WARNING!!: Please be especially careful when opening the bottle. Always store the bottle in the refrigerator (below 3°C) and open it gently by slowly loosening and then closing the cap again. Since the yeast is alive, temperature or environmental changes may cause the bottle to overflow. Doburoku is one of Japan’s oldest alcoholic beverages, with a history as long as rice cultivation itself. It is brewed from the same basic ingredients as sake: rice, water, and koji. The key difference is that the resulting mash (moromi) is not pressed. In ancient times, farmers would offer rice and Doburoku as a tribute to the gods, praying for a bountiful harvest— a tradition that continues in many regions to this day.
