The Yanagita Distillery is the oldest distillery in the city of Tojo and is located in the middle of the Miyakonojo basin, which the Kirishima mountains lead to the west. Their shochu is carefully crafted in a family atmosphere. The master distiller, a fifth-generation owner, has a background in engineering and is good at making original shochu. A complex aroma of caramel, roasted nuts, cocoa and chocolate. Produced using atmospheric distillation. It is powerful and deep with a full-bodied, multi-layered taste and a slightly smoky finish.
